Ultra-lightweight, polarized, with grip pads at the nose and on the earpieces that keep them firmly in place, these sunglasses are fantastic. I've had the Tortoise/Maui Rose combination for over eight years, and these are the most effective sunglasses I've ever owned. Period. i like them such a lot that I recently bought a second combine as my fall-back for when the primary combine finally breaks beyond fixing. They were price each penny of the $160 + tax that I forked over for them.
My eyes became terribly light-sensitive when having laser surgery in 2002, and when attempting many alternative brands & kinds of high-end sunglasses, these Maui Jims turned out to be the proper answer. they give the impression of being nice, terribly sleek and trendy, and therefore the frame is wide enough to suit my massive fat head (hat size seven 3/8). The Rose lenses are ""just right"" - not too dark, not too lightweight. Bright sunlight? Snow glare? daylight on water? Rainy day? No downside. They work well in all sorts of sunshine, together with those overcast days when it's simply to a small degree too bright to drive while not sunglasses. They conjointly work perfectly below my full-face motorbike helmet, failed to fly off whereas i used to be riding, and withstood multiple 60-mph bug hits. (Gross, but true.)
